What is a Veterans Heritage Site?

A public parcel or monument that has been confirmed by this organization as memorializing, honoring or containing the remains of United States Military Service Members and Veterans.

Some examples of Veterans Heritage Sites include:

Military/Veterans Cemeteries, Marked or unmarked Military/Veteran burial sites, Monuments honoring/memorializing military events/figures, Battlegrounds or Battle Sites, Historic military forts/outposts, Veterans Parks, Buildings of historic military importance…
