Thanks to all who came to our 9/11 Service and Remembrance Day at Sharp’s Ridge Veteran’s Memorial Park on September 8th. Thanks to the Optimist club, the LMU Environmental Law Students, and members of Veteran’s Heritage Site Foundation for your help. We gave out our first Eagle Award to Robert “Buzz” Buswell and Appreciation Award to Rural metro. After the ceremony many of our guests joined in participating in Keep Knoxville Beautiful North service day as our community service project. We took the opportunity to clean the park of all trash! Again it was noted that there was even less trash and evidence of illegal activities found in the park than ever before! It looks like we are making a big impact on crime in the park!
