Cemetery Committee maps lost gravesites in Old Gray Cemetery

Yesterday our Cemetery Committee was busy with very important work. Committee Chair Arthur Bohanan and members Michelle Michele Beam Disney, Amy Mays Emert, Donna Buswell lead a group of volunteers to Old Gray Cemetery in Knoxville to locate lost graves. They found 311 graves that were without headstones or their name was missing. With forensic expert Art’s guidance, they were able to determine if the remains were male or female and an adult or child. They even found a few mothers who were pregnant when they died. Board member Amy Emert is mapping out the location for the Cemetery and family members to know where the remains are buried.
