We pinned 5 Vietnam Veterans with the 50th Year Commemorative Welcome Home Pin.
Most importantly we recognized to very special first responders. Art Bohanan and Steve Tinder for their unselfish work in identifying the remains of those killed in the 9/11 attack. These two gave over 30 years service to Knoxville Police Department. They traveled to many disasters across the country. They also now suffer from their exposure to toxins while working 9/11as many of those forensic workers have suffered. We can thank them enough for the extremely hard work they do.
We also gave Art our Eagle Award for his forensic service, his continued support to help the local communities identify and find lost graves, including over 4000 graves. He is a Veteran and is helping us with our mission in maintaining Veteran sites.
Thank you Steve and Art.
